Forum Help

This forum gives you a way to tap into the shared experience and knowledge of your fellow practitioners. Potentially, that's an incredibly powerful resource, because whatever your question, someone, somewhere is likely to know the answer. And given the number of members of this community, you'll likely find it here.

We genuinely hope that you will find it a very useful tool that adds a valuable extra dimension to the other sources of information that you use throughout your career in this profession.

However, in order that the forum fulfils its purpose, it is vitally important that members abide by a few rules designed to ensure a helpful, collegiate environment.

In this section, you will also find an explanation of the various features. They have also been designed to enrich everyone's experience in the forum, so please take a moment to familiarise yourself with them before posting.

Who can read my posts?
The registration process for VetSurgeon is designed to deter people from outside - or not closely associated with - the profession from joining the community and we do carry out spot checks. However, this system is not infallible and you should always presume that what you write in any forum (not just this one) might be read by anyone. This has not proven a problem in the past, but you should keep it in mind and not post things which might bring the profession into disrepute.
