Qualified Liverpool 1967
Since qualification joined the Gatehouse Veterinary Hospital at Lavister, Rossett near Chester in July 1967 and later became a partner before retiring(!) on August 31st 1997
Practice was a mixed practice with attachment to Chester Zoo
During that time I became the Veterinary Officer to Chester Zoo in July 1967 until my retirement, visiting the Zoo on a daily basis, mainly during each morning.
Worked in the 1967 and 2001 FMD outbreaks. In addition was Veterinary Consultant to Knowsley Safari Park for some 10 years plus a few other exotic collections.

I've published several articles.
Hobbies: Avid golfer, swimming and walking, family (married 50 years and 3 children) and 6 grandchildren(3 boys 3girls), computers, gardening and when time going on holiday! Live for 3-4 days each week at our log cabin retreat in Snowdonia (wifi access of course!). The stock market.
Past President of my Golf Club (Clays Golf Club) and presently press officer and Hon. Sec of the Seniors section. Have produced a Blog for the Seniors Section which I update twice weekly.
Past Secretary and Chairman of an Investment Club for the past 11 years. Spend some 3-4 days per week at our holiday home log cabin at Brynteg, Llanrug in North Wales
