MSD Animal Health has given Bovilis Bovivac S, its salmonella vaccine for cattle, a makeover so it can be easily differentiated from other vaccine bottles.

Bovilis Bovivac S is used for active immunisation to induce serological and colostral antibody production against Salmonella Dublin and Salmonella Typhimurium.

In the face of an outbreak, it can also be used to reduce Salmonella Typhimurium infections when used as part of an overall herd management programme.

MSD says Bovilis Bovivac S may also contribute to reducing S. Typhimurium contamination of the environment.

Other than the packaging, the vaccine itself is identical.
