A quick poll carried out by Michael Woodhouse amongst the members of VetSurgeon suggests that the majority of UK veterinary surgeons do not brush their own dog's teeth.

With all due respect, this poll suggests nothing of the sort. Using an n=98 sample is statistically meaningless. When we consider that vetsurgeon.org has 6000+ members, that's 1.63% of the vetsurgeon community, and if we consider that there are conservatively probably five times that many vets in practice, it's an inaccurate poll. A better one would be "a majority of internet-savvy vets that frequently use the internet don't brush their dog's teeth."
