A quick poll carried out by Michael Woodhouse amongst the members of VetSurgeon suggests that the majority of UK veterinary surgeons do not brush their own dog's teeth.

98 members took part in the survey, as follows:

  • 6.1% said they brush their own dog's teeth every day
  • 5.1% said they brush nearly every day
  • 17.3% said they brush less than nearly every day
  • 8.2% said they do not brush because, as vets, they can do a free dental!
  • 46% answered 'No, but I should'
