The webinars each last between three and five minutes and are part of the 2016 ‘Talk About Laminitis’ disease awareness initiative to help detect, manage and monitor PPID.

The webinars can be viewed on the Boehringer Academy website – www.boehringer-academy.co.uk - and podcast versions are also available enabling veterinary professionals to listen to them ‘on the go’.

The first series includes:

  • Why have the ACTH normal reference ranges changed at Liphook Equine Hospital?
  • How should I approach cases where the change in reference ranges has resulted in a change in my diagnosis?
  • What is the Adiponectin test and when should veterinary surgeons use it?’.

The second webinar series covers:

  • How should I monitor my PPID patients being treated with Prascend?
  • What management recommendations should I make for horses with PPID?
  • Should I seasonally alter the dose of Prascend in my PPID positive patients?
  • Should I monitor horses over the age of 15 for PPID?’.
