Teeside veterinary nurses Debbie Rowley and Karen Taylor from Wilton VetsTeeside veterinary nurses Debbie Rowley and Karen Taylor from Wilton Vets made history yesterday when they were called out to catch a 6ft, 18lb python spotted by the side of the road by a motorist in Guisborough.

Talking to the Guisborough Gazette, Debbie said: "We were shocked it was so big."

The snake is apparently in good shape, and now in the care of Kirkleatham Owl Centre. 

Anyone missing a 6ft ft python is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101.
