Hello. I am Judith Archbold and this is my Practice. We are looking for a vet with some experience to join our team; to replace a vet who is leaving having been here for a few years. Ideally a vet interested in medicine / cardiology / ultrasonography with competent surgical skills would be great.
Finding 2 vets would be even better! We are expanding the practice as getting busier.
I am an Advanced Practitioner in small animal surgery and opened Vets4Pets Totton in June 2018. I have a certificate in emergency medicine and surgery GPcert (EM+S) as well as in soft tissue/orthopaedic surgery cert.AVP(gSAS). We perform in-house orthopaedics and some soft tissue referral surgeries; but also use peripatetic orthopaedic surgeons for TPLOs etc. In addition I have a Zoology degree and 2 of our nurses keep reptiles as pets so we enjoy seeing some exotics too.
As well as me you'd be joining a team that includes a regular locum vet 1 day a week, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN and 3 receptionists, with our nurse team having a combined experience of 50 years!
Our days are well structured with consultations between 9am - 12pm , ops 11am-2pm, lunch and then staggered consultations from 3-6pm with the intention of vets leaving between 6-6.30pm; the Practice closes at 7pm.
This is a full-time role to support the growth of the practice. A 4 day week can be offered. In addition there is a 1 in 3 Saturday rota when we open between 9am - 12pm. There is no OOH work as that is covered by Vets Now.

Totton itself can be found on the west side of Southampton with easy access to The New Forest National Park and close to the sea.
