We are an independent practice, looking into becoming an Employee Ownership Trust within the next year. We have a modern, well-equipped practice with a fantastic team in Pembrokeshire, a stunning part of the country. Many pay to come here on holidays - you could be paid to live here and enjoy all it's wonderful features all year round! Our beaches are at least as good as in Cornwall, the villages might not be as picturesque, but even in the middle of summer during school holidays, there is still plenty of space and no traffic jams!

Our vets work an average of between 20 and 36.5 ('full time') hours per week with at least one weekday completely off and we are happy to accommodate your wishes and work around it, so you can structure your life in the way you want it. We close at 6:30pm on Mondays and Fridays and 5:30pm Tuesday to Thursday, so you still have an evening to enjoy. On Saturdays we work until 2pm in an equally shared 1:5 rota.

We do provide our own OOH - we want to be there for our patients when they need us, but only get around 12-15 call-outs per month and you would be part of a 1:5 rota with a nurse always being on-call with you.

Digital and dental x-rays and a therapeutic laser have been part of our armory for a long time (we were the first practice in the area to have these) and our ultrasound scanner has colour-doppler and cardiac probes.

Cat and dog kennels are separated and you won't feel like a mole in our light-flooded building, from which you can look out at the harbour!

On top of your salary there will be OOH payments and we offer a relocation payment of £3K.

We are looking for a vet with some experience (we are hoping to open a new graduate job next summer), ideally who is also interested in the business side of things. The salary will be expanded for more experienced candidates and we would be especially interested in somebody who might want to lead the practice on the EOT journey.
