Veterinary Surgeon – Full-time

One of our lovely vets will be moving back home to sunny Portugal in the near future, and we are on the lookout for a brilliant vet to join our independent practice on a full time, permanent basis.
This is a full-time position working 39 core hours, split 4 or 5 days. The role includes 1 in 8 out-of-hours (OOH) weeknights, 1 in 8 full OOH weekends, and 1 in 12 Saturday mornings. Ideally, you will have at least 2 years of experience, but we’re open to considering those with less experience if you’re the right fit.

As a proudly independent, award-winning small animal practice, we have three North Somerset locations: Nailsea, Portishead and Yatton, approximately 20 minutes south of Bristol. As well as great people we have great kit including our hydro.vet facility, top-spec ultrasonography, a CT scanner called Donut, and full exotics capability. We are a Dog Friendly Clinic, Cat Friendly Clinic and Rabbit Friendly Vet and have won Best Vets in Somerset for the last 4 years running. Most recently we have won ‘Rabbit Veterinary Practice of the Year UK’ announced in January 2025!
Your workload will be a mixture of consulting and surgery with a strong emphasis on case continuity. There will always be someone there to help and support whenever you need it. Our fabulous nursing team also have an array of qualifications and superstar skills, including keeping all the cogs turning and the plates spinning.
