Flexible working, no OOH - Your work/life balance is our priority

We are looking for an experienced Senior/Head Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team at Dartford. We are open to suggestions of working days/hours to suit you, for example hours around school runs or condensing your hours to get more days off or just working during term time. We haven’t set the hours per week as we are open to a discussion however our normal working week is 40 hours over 4 days with a protected day off and 1in3 Saturday morning. There is no OOH.

We are here to help you succeed

We are an RCVS accredited, established practice with easy access to Dartford town centre and London (we are also located opposite a busy retail park so it’s great for lunches or a quick shop before or after work). There is free parking and on arriving at our practice, you will be greeted by our light and open waiting room, adjoining the waiting room we have 3 dedicated consult rooms which lead directly on to our open plan preparation area. Our separate theatre is well equipped and provides a dedicated space for sterile procedures to be carried out. In addition to all of this (yes, there’s more!) the practice also has a designated space for diagnostic imagery & dentistry.
Want to know about the fantastic facilities available? To name but a few, our team have access to ultrasound, multiparameter, ECG, in house lab Inc. microscope, digital x-ray, dentistry & doppler.
We want to help you settle in therefore as standard, you will have a dedicated induction program where you are assigned with a work buddy/mentor. We offer a nice mixture of surgery and 15 minute consultations with time available to work up complex cases and we are in a great position where we can offer a higher volume of surgery time if this is an interest of yours.

What makes us unique?

  • We have 75 Years of combined Nursing experience making us well equipped at supporting our Vets on a day to day basis as well as in the delivery of certain schedule 3 procedures. Our Nurses and Reception team collective work together to support our Vets and clients with a passion for delivery of gold standard patient/client care.
  • Our highly experienced Practice Principal is passionate about developing our team and is fully committed to supporting the team in achieving both their personal and  professional aspirations within the first opinion sector.
  • We have a super supportive team consisting of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 3 RVN's (we are looking for a 4th), 1 SVN, 1 ANA and our 7 supporting team members. We also regularly have visiting specialists in Orthopaedics, Cardiology and Imaging.

If you wish to speak with someone from the practice do let us know as we can facilitate this.
