Position: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Education: Doctorate
Salary: $4,000,00 - 5,200.00 KYD per calendar month ($5,000.00 - 6,500.00 USD)

The Mobile Vet Company is a mobile veterinary service providing expert home-based pet and animal care encompassing preventative, diagnostic, emergent and non-emergent services.

About You:
The veterinarian we are looking to add to our team is an independent, friendly individual who has the confidence to work alone as well the ability to work on a team and is focused on providing excellent client communication and committed to delivering the best possible care to the animals of our community.

Our ideal candidate is honest, reliable, punctual, dedicated and passionate about the profession, the pets, and their people, and comfortable with practicing only the highest standard of care.

While all candidates are considered, we would prefer someone with at least 2 years experience who is confident in all aspects of general medicine and with performing common surgical procedures (spay, neuter, dentistry, lumpectomies, etc.)

About the Position:
As a veterinarian with The Mobile Vet Company, the majority of one's day will be spent driving to appointments/client's homes to examine, diagnose and treat animals and prescribe and administer medications.

Our vets will also be asked to take cell and tissue samples, perform diagnostic tests, treat wounds, perform minor surgical procedures as well as providing aspects of specialised care (such as geriatrics) for certain patients. Other duties often encountered on the job include administering vaccinations, microchip implantation, conducting examinations for travel and performing at home euthanasia if necessary.

Job Requirements:
Veterinary Specific
  • Be a qualified and licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in good standing with your licensing board.
  • Possess at least 2 years of experience.
General
  • Customer Service + Client Relations
  • Must be able and willing to relocate to the Cayman Islands.
  • Must speak, read, write, and comprehend English fluently.
  • If English is not your first language, then you must provide proof of proficiency.
  • Possess a clean police record.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Be physically fit and able to safely lift 50 lbs
While these duties are shared with other members of the team, the candidate must be able to:
  • Confidently handle customer interactions including greetings, screening and processing of incoming patients, answering questions and providing details on patient care, handling payments and scheduling appointments.
  • Complete simple computer based duties such as email, entering data into our billing program, processing credit card payments, and maintaining an accurate patient filing system.
  • Submit and retrieve prescriptions along with the subsequent delivery of said medications.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary of $4,000,00 - 5,200.00 KYD per calendar month ($5,000.00 - 6,500.00 USD)
