Lateral: 3 year old Labrador retriever
The flexed lateral view is always the most useful.
This radiograph is normal EXCEPT for the very small osteophyte skylined on the caudal border of the anconeus adjacent to the overlying humerus.
Poor photographic quality, for example over exposure, might prevent detection of this abnormality.
This illustrates the importance of the FULLY flexed, lateral view - this osteophyte would not be seen on a 90 degree flexed view.
