This 11mth old B Collie bitch came in because the owner had discovered "something protruding" from her vulva when investigating if she was in season (one of her male dogs had been sniffing around but no other signs were present.)
On examination the protrusion photographed here would appear to be a vestigial penis, complete with Os penis and bulbus penis at its base but no urethral orifice. In all other respects (anatomically and behaviourally, the bitch is female)

Saw a very similar pug recently. I sent the reproductive tract for histopathology and he gonads were testes, no ovarian tissue present. The pathologist noted that the dog would be a male pseudohermaphrodite, although I suggested the owner consider her dog to be a female to save confusion.
